Why are the Democrats seen as blameless(he asked knowingly)

Our economy was humming right along growing every quarter and creating jobs every month UNTIL.......the Democrats took control of Congress.

This is not a coincidence.

The economy was adversely affected by their insistence on raising the minimum wage which cost tens of thousands of jobs in addition to causing many employers to cut the hours of the employees they kept.

It was further hindered by the fact that the Democrats have not only talked about ending the Bush tax cuts, but also talked about increasing taxes on the people who create jobs

With these actions and many others, our economy was hurt WORSE by the Democrats than by 9/11 and Katrina.

Sound like hyperbole......perhaps, but here are the numbers. You decide.

All of the stats I will quote can be found at http://www.bls.gov/.

Between January 2001(when Bush '41 took office) and January 2007(when the Democrats took power 4,497,000 jobs were created. That is an average of 62,458 jobs a month over those 72 months.

Now this includes inherting the Clinton/Gore recession, the economic impact of 9/11 as well as the effects of Katrina.

If we only include months that were covered under a Bush '41 budget, the dates are October 2001 through January 2007, the total jobs created becomes 5,464,000 and the average monthly job growth becomes 86,730 over those 63 months.

Looking at the numbers from January 2007 and the end of last month, we have had only 491,000 jobs created making an average just 24,550 jobs a moth over those 20 months. With jobs actually being lost each and every month this year totaling -524,000 jobs.

So we went from an average of between 62,000 and 86,000 jobs created a month even with 9/11 and Katrina with a Republican Congress, to creating only 25,000 jobs a month with a Democrat Congress.

If we had an honest and unbiased media, there is no way these fools could avoid responsibility for their incompetence.
